Many posts to follow. In the meantime, here are a few recap photos of my visit with Matt and his partner-in-crime, DMC:
"Reunited and it feels so good..."
Run and DMC consider the historic significance of Goree Island. Or maybe they're just scoping out the beach for chicks.
A rare moment posing for the papparazzi before partaking of a fine beachside meal.
Poolside at the Hotel du Parc Djoudj, a UNESCO heritage site and the third largest bird sanctuary in the world.
There was a light floating in the pool, which served as a perfect floating lounge. They seemed much more interested in the pool than the birds. We, on the other hand, didn't swim (it was actually kind of cool outside!), but took lots of bird photos which will follow soon...
Run and DMC's stash. We had thought these were all Senegalese beers, but alas, later found out we were mistaken. Only Gazelle is from Dakar. Flag is, I believe, from Morocco. The rest are imports from Europe, but are bottled here. Oh well! They still tasted like beer, albeit pretty crappy beer.
